Welcome to the City of Camilla Police Department’s webpage. The department employs 18 officers who are certified by the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council and are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours of training annually to maintain their certifications and powers of arrest. The department is state certified by the Georgia Association of Chief’s of Police.
Under the direction of Police Chief Ray Folsom, the department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides emergency and non-emergency service to more than 5,600 city residents and an estimated 4,000 visitors every day. In 2013, officers responded to 11,486 incident calls and in 2012 officers responded to 12,323 calls. To view the 2013 year end crime statistics click here.

Departmental personnel are devoted to enforcing the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons.
